We understand the thrill of the perfect drive, the clever chip or pulling off that impossibly long putt over a fast breaking green. We know the time you need to put in to make this happen because we are golfers too.

We're driven by the need to make clothes that give you more freedom, better range of movement, less weight - and yet at the same time look great and keep you cool, dry and comfortable.

Our Story

In 2006 Intrepid Sport Limited was created by Wellington entrepreneur Stephen Beath to research and prototype world class golfwear that would eventually become known as 3 Under®. From the outset it was fairly clear that no other New Zealand companies - in fact no other company in the world specialised in creating top quality, all-weather golfwear to cope with New Zealand's unpredictable climate. All premium golfwear was imported and designed for other environments that are generally speaking, sometimes very unlike our own.

With 12 months of input from professional and amateur golfers up and down the country we set out to create all weather golfwear that is world class. Combining leading New Zealand design with advanced technology it was exciting to bring to market the first of our multi stretching, waterproof, lightweight and breathable range of golfwear.

The 2nd generation Freedom range was launched in 2009 building on our experiences and the valuable feedback of our customers throughout the country.

2010 heralded further changes with the 3Under® brand secured by new majority owners, 3Under Limited, who intend to work alongside Stephen Beath to secure the 3Under® brands position as the all weather gear of choice for golfers everywhere.
